Amazon Games' New World is steadily rolling out across the globe, with thousands of players pouring into its fantasy world of Aeternum. But along with rollout out on a per-region basis, there are have some new issues that arise, from long wait queues, limited servers, and corruptible chat boxes, to infinite damage and random gold dupes. New World has several glaring bugs. Now, we're rounding them up all on one page.
Long Wait Times
New World has earned an insane amount of fame in a short amount of time. That is evident in the huge number of players trying to jump into the game but waiting in long queues. Yes, the servers are overloaded, and Amazon has already worked on improving the server capacity. But thousands of players are queueing for the open world, and with the surging fame, it is expected to increase even more. So, if you try to log in now, you may have to wait for hours. And even if you manage to get in, you may get kicked, bringing you back to the long queue.
The Gold Coin Glitch
It seems gold is raining down from the skies in New World at the moment, as an enormous exploit is being abused to get incredible amounts of new world gold coins by simply copying it! Players have been doing this multiple times and reportedly some are even handing out 500,000 gold to random players, either to potentially get them banned or just to make it more difficult for Amazon Games to know who to ban.
Character's Invincibility
Some New World players recently discovered an exploit that can easily make its users invincible. All a player needs to do is to switch their game to windowed mode and use their mouse to drag the game's window. As long as the player keeps holding down their mouse button, their character won't take any damage. The caveat though is once they let go, all the accumulated damage they received during that time will take effect. The exploit can also be used to freeze the character mid-air. The game can be massively disrupted if an invincibility exploit is present.
Major Chatbox Glitches
The latest appears to be an unintentional flaw in the game's chatbox that allows toxic players to enter and run malicious image code in the chatbox; when unsuspecting players in the game hover that text with their mouse, it can crash the client, which is not only annoying and grief but also makes basic PvP pointless.
Garden Of Genesis' End Boss
The last glaring game-breaking bug that needs to be fixed immediately is the Garden of Genesis' end boss, The Blighted Greenskeeper, suddenly sniping down players with a single shot despite being killed already. Weirder yet, the gunfire comes from an indiscernible direction as there is no corresponding animation with the shooter taking fire. Beyond the annoyance of being gunned down without notice, the bug has been known to cost certain players up to 500 new world amazon coins and the key to the Garden of Genesis, disallowing them to complete the mission.
The ease at which the exploit is used is baffling and could negatively impact New World and its players who don't wish to use game-breaking tactics. With how easy it is to pull off, it will likely be used by more than a few players, especially during PvP. Hopefully, Amazon can quickly patch out this exploit before being abused to shift the balance of New Worlds' factions.
